Current Opportunity: Remote Cantonese Contract Interpreter

We are seeking immediate applications for a Remote Cantonese Contract Interpreter to join our PropioONE on-demand service.

Contract Responsibilities

• Provides consecutive, first-person interpretation.
• Follows interpreter protocols and procedures as required by Propio L.S. clients.
• Adheres to Propio L.S. policies on information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
• Continuously expands vocabulary and specialized subject matter knowledge (e.g., medical, legal, social services).

Requirements

• Submit an updated Resume in English upon application.
• Demonstrate English Language Proficiency with a rating of “technical proficiency” (3 or higher on the ILR scale).
• Successfully complete a Mock oral interpretation session, evaluated against 24 quality standards with a passing score.
• Complete Propio's online Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology Assessment with a passing score.
• Undergo a full Background Check and Security Screen.
• Sign a commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and HIPAA compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of interpreting experience.

• International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA)
• California Healthcare Interpreters Association (CHIA)
