Position Summary

The Call Center Associate I will be a vital part of our Bronx-based call center team, helping to coordinate the operations of various health centers. This role demands a proactive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. Candidates should possess a passion for community health care and be prepared for some monthly onsite requirements in Bronx, NY, including training and meetings. Applicants must reside locally within the New York City area.

While the work will primarily be remote, company equipment will be provided. Candidates should have a dedicated, distraction-free workspace at home capable of supporting dual monitors and necessary hardware.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• This is an entry-level position with training provided
• Bilingual Spanish/English required
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Proficiency in computer skills
• Self-motivated with a dedication to excellence

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Answer high volume of calls, schedule appointments, and relay messages following communication standards 📞
• Respond to and resolve patient requests and concerns 🤝
• Refer clinical questions to medical providers appropriately 🏥
• Ensure patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and PHI guidelines 🔒
• Update and verify patient demographic and insurance information 📝
• Manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations efficiently ⏰
• Maintain "WE CARE" standards in alignment with Urban Health Plan's operating credo 🌟

Compensation & Benefits

Starting salary ranges from $18.00 to $18.00 per hour, equating to approximately $37,440 annually.

Work Environment & Schedule

This position is remote with required onsite presence in Bronx, NY for training and meetings. The schedule is:

• Monday to Friday: 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
• Rotating Saturdays: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
