Role Overview
In this position, you'll oversee a portfolio of new and existing business clients, offering financial solutions, education, and advice. Your focus will be on enhancing client experience and ensuring the profitability of your portfolio through strategic relationship management.
Key Responsibilities 📝
- Client Portfolio Management: Acquire, manage, and retain a portfolio of 70–90 business clients with annual revenues between $1 million and $5 million. Provide business deposit, cash management solutions, and manage credit opportunities up to approximately $1.5 million.
- Deliver Exceptional Service: Offer personalized, comprehensive business banking solutions tailored to client needs.
- Financial & Risk Analysis: Apply knowledge of finance, banking, credit, and risk management to recommend the best solutions, ensuring portfolio profitability.
- Relationship Development: Conduct regular in-person visits with prospects, influencers, and clients at their business locations. Follow a disciplined process to maintain and build relationships, adjusting strategies with guidance.
- Business Growth: Identify and cultivate new business clients for long-term banking relationships.
- Client Financial Goals: Understand clients’ personal financial objectives and coordinate with partners across departments (e.g., Wealth Management, Home Lending) to connect clients with the right experts.
- Leadership & Compliance: Support branch operations actively, uphold sound risk management practices, and adhere to regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Skills ✅
Required
- At least 3 years’ experience in Business Banking Relationship Management or related lending roles
- Solid understanding of business credit, core banking products, and industry practices
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging clients and internal teams
- Ability to balance client needs with risk considerations, escalating issues as necessary
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize daily tasks and own client issues
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent experience
- Active business network and established relationships
