About the Role
As a Business Relationship Manager II (BRM) within Business Banking, you will strive to enhance the lives of our clients and support their business success through strategic financial guidance, education, and solutions. You will manage a diverse portfolio of new and existing business clients, focusing on relationship-building and risk management to ensure optimal client experience and portfolio profitability.
📝 Job Responsibilities
- Manage a Portfolio: Acquire, retain, and oversee 70–90 business clients with annual revenues between $1–$5 million across assigned branches. Provide solutions in business deposits, cash management, and business credit opportunities up to approximately $1.5 million.
- Deliver Exceptional Service: Offer comprehensive and customized banking solutions tailored to each client's unique needs, ensuring a stellar client experience.
- Utilize Financial Knowledge: Apply expertise in business, finance, banking, credit, and risk management to recommend the best solutions for clients while maintaining portfolio profitability.
- Relationship Development: Conduct regular in-person visits with prospects, influential community contacts, and existing clients at their locations. Develop effective strategies to nurture and expand relationships, reviewing approaches regularly with your manager.
- Identify New Business Opportunities: Seek out potential clients and cultivate long-term, primary banking relationships.
- Understand Client Goals: Recognize personal financial objectives of clients, collaborating with partners across lines of business such as Wealth Management, Home Lending, and Branch Teams to connect clients with the right specialists.
- Lead & Protect: Support your branches actively, uphold sound risk management protocols, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
🔍 Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Business Banking Relationship Management or related business lending roles
- Solid understanding of business practices and experience with business credit and core banking products
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and internal teams at all levels
- Ability to balance client needs with risk considerations, and to recognize when issues should be escalated or handled independently
- Strong prioritization skills to meet business objectives and follow through on commitments
- Proficiency in MS Office tools: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience
