About the Role

As a Business Relationship Manager II (BRM) in Business Banking, you will play a vital part in enhancing our clients' lives and supporting their businesses through tailored financial solutions, education, and expert advice. You will manage a dynamic portfolio of new and existing business clients, emphasizing exceptional client experience and sound risk management.

Responsibilities 📝

  • Client Portfolio Management: Acquire, manage, and retain a portfolio of 70-90 business clients with annual revenues between $1M - $5M for your assigned branches. Provide business deposit, cash management solutions, and oversee credit opportunities up to approximately $1.5 million.
  • Client Experience: Deliver a personalized and outstanding experience by offering comprehensive business banking solutions tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
  • Financial Solutions & Risk Management: Use your knowledge of business, finance, banking, credit, and risk to identify, recommend, and promote the best solutions that serve clients while ensuring portfolio profitability.
  • Relationship Development: Conduct regular in-person meetings with prospects, centers of influence (COIs), and existing clients at their business locations. Follow a disciplined relationship-building process, adjusting strategies in collaboration with your manager.
  • Business Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, cultivating long-term, primary banking relationships.
  • Client Collaboration: Understand clients' personal financial goals, and partner across various lines of business (like Chase Wealth Management and Home Lending) to connect clients with specialized services.
  • Leadership & Risk Protocols: Support your assigned branches actively, uphold firm policies, and adhere to regulatory standards to ensure sound risk management.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, & Skills ✅

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Business Banking Relationship Management or related business lending roles.
  • Solid business acumen with knowledge of business credit, core products, services, and industry-specific practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with clients and internal teams at all levels.
  • Ability to balance client needs with associated risks, recognizing when to escalate issues or manage independently.
  • Strong organizational skills for prioritizing daily tasks and owning client issues through to resolution.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills 🌟

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Established business network within the industry.
