Position: Business Development Manager – Latin America (LATAM)

Location: La Verne, CA (onsite)

Salary: $120,000 + bonus and commissions

Job Overview 📝

As a Business Development Manager based in La Verne, you will develop and expand our business across Mexico, Brazil, and key South American markets. Your focus will be on identifying regional opportunities in industries such as industrial, automotive, data centers, and electronics. You will establish distributor and OEM partnerships and drive design-in projects from concept to mass production.

Daily, your responsibilities include building new client accounts, strengthening existing relationships, and collaborating with our Asia R&D and manufacturing teams to deliver tailored thermal solutions aligned with local markets. You will own the territory plan, manage the pipeline, and close deals effectively.

Fluency in Spanish/English is required; Mandarin is a plus.

Key Responsibilities 🎯

  • Prospect & Develop: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities across Mexico and South America in industrial, automotive, and electronic sectors.
  • Network Building: Engage with local distributors, VARs, ODMs/OEMs, and system integrators through visits, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Customer Solutions: Translate customer needs into proposals, quotes, validation plans, and manage RFIs/RFQs and legal agreements (NDAs/MSAs).
  • Collaborate Internationally: Coordinate daily with R&D and manufacturing teams in Asia regarding builds, schedules, and escalations.
  • Drive Design-Ins: Support projects from concept to production, including EVT/DVT/PVT and pilot builds.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate records, deliver sales forecasts, account updates, and territory reports.
  • Market & Technology Monitoring: Track regional trends, competitive activity, and technological shifts in cooling solutions (air, hybrid, liquid).
  • Marketing Collaboration: Work with marketing to develop tailored campaigns and materials for the Latin American market.
  • Technical Support: Provide first-line technical and commercial support, escalating complex issues to engineering and FAE teams.
  • Strategic Contributions: Participate in pricing, cost reduction planning, and product roadmap discussions for the region.

Ideal Candidate Profile 🚀

Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales or business development within Latin America, preferably in thermal solutions, electronics, or industrial equipment.
  • Proven success in developing accounts via OEM, ODM, or distributor networks in Mexico and/or South America.
  • Hands-on experience managing full sales cycles from prospecting to closing.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing collaborations across time zones, especially in Asia.
  • Excellent pipeline management, CRM utilization, forecasting, and reporting skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude able to explain cooling products and system-level solutions simply.
  • Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English; Mandarin is a plus.
  • Willing to travel approximately 30–40% across Latin America.

Preferred Qualifications 📈

  • Experience selling fans, heat sinks, cooling modules, or thermal components into industrial, data center, or automotive sectors.
  • Existing relationships with major Mexican or South American OEMs/distributors (e.g., automotive Tier 1s, electronics integrators).
  • Knowledge of local import/export, distribution, and supplier onboarding processes.
  • Track record of revenue growth and new market penetration.
  • Familiarity with regional trade compliance, currency handling, and cross-border logistics.
  • Comfort working with multicultural teams across North America, Asia, and Latin America.

Work Schedule & Employment Details 🕒
