Position: Business Development (Business Consultant / B2B Sales Representative) – Bilingual Mandarin

Location: New York

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time, direct-hire W2 position with our client, offering a competitive base salary + full benefits + uncapped commission. The role also includes a guaranteed non-recoverable draw for the first 12 months and residuals, providing a stable and lucrative opportunity.

As a field (outside) B2B sales and business development professional, you will target small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) rather than enterprise clients, working with short sales cycles that typically result in multiple deals per month.

Responsibilities

  • Promote Clover: Sell Clover's industry-leading cloud-based POS platform used by over 700,000 merchants and processing more than $330 billion in transactions. The platform integrates POS hardware and software to handle card, mobile wallet, and contactless payments, along with business management features like inventory, reporting, and customer loyalty.
  • Territory Management: Manage a territory with numerous branches connected to established corporate partner banks. Build relationships with business bankers to generate referrals and close deals, while also sourcing new opportunities independently to enhance the pipeline.
  • On-site Demonstrations: Conduct product demos and presentations at client businesses, demonstrating how the platform streamlines operations and increases revenue, ultimately closing sales in person.
  • End-to-End Sales Cycle Ownership: Prospect, source leads, generate referrals, and close deals. Maintain full accountability for territory performance and KPI achievement, including turnaround strategies for underperforming accounts. Focus on building lasting client and partner relationships, identifying challenges early, and delivering proactive solutions for sustained growth and retention.
  • Sales Excellence: Work effectively with an outside sales approach—targeted at hitting quotas, utilizing provided leads, building your pipeline, closing deals, hunting for new business, engaging well with clients, and owning results.
  • Previous Experience: Ideal candidates may have backgrounds as Business Bankers, Commercial Relationship Bankers, or Commercial Relationship Managers working with SMB clients.
