Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Walk-in Clinic Assistant (30 hours/week) to ensure our Walk-in Clinic (WIC) environment remains welcoming and efficient. This role involves assisting clients with virtual appointments, maintaining documentation, and providing essential support to the Clinic Operations team.
Starting pay: $19.00 per hour 💵

Work Schedule & Location
This is an in-person position based in Durham, with occasional work in Siler City. The regular weekly schedule is:
- Monday & Friday: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (includes weekly food donation pickup from Panera Bread at 3301 Watkins Rd, Durham)
- Wednesday & Thursday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Must be available for a Friday morning meeting from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends is required. 🕒
Essential Functions
- Maintain a clean and welcoming waiting room environment.
- Prepare beverages and snacks, set up at the front door, and clean up afterwards.
- Pick up weekly food donations from Panera Bread.
- Greet clients and visitors, answer questions, and guide them as needed.
- Collect client information via sign-in sheets and assign buzzers.
- Provide excellent customer service in the waiting area.
- Assist clients with connecting to Zoom for virtual appointments when required.
- Complete client documentation using DocuSign.
- Conduct client satisfaction surveys to gather feedback.
- Provide backup support for administrative roles including Front Desk, Access Coordinator, and Centralized Scheduler in Durham and Siler City.
- Process Medical Records requests and assist with filing and miscellaneous projects.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- At least 2 years of experience in administrative, clinical assistance, customer service, or related fields.
- Experience working with the Latino community is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
- Ability to communicate professionally, warmly, and with sensitivity.
- Flexibility, creativity, and adaptability to meet evolving needs.
- Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.

Work Environment & Conditions
This role requires in-person attendance at the Durham office, participation in team and organizational events, and occasional evening or weekend work. Back-up support for the Siler City clinic is also included.
