Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and attentive Bilingual Waiter/Server to become the face of our family-owned Peruvian restaurant. In this role, you will create memorable dining experiences by providing attentive service, demonstrating menu expertise, and managing orders efficiently. Your professionalism and warmth will help showcase the rich flavors and hospitality of Peru in a lively, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• 🤝 Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, friendly service throughout their visit
• 📝 Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Clover, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen staff
• 💡 Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximize sales opportunities
• 🍽️ Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• 💬 Manage guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive dining experience through excellent customer service
• 🧼 Assist with food handling, sanitation, and proper food preparation procedures to adhere to health regulations
• 🧹 Clear and bus tables as needed to maintain smooth restaurant operations
• 💰 Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and perform basic math calculations for billing
• 📖 Maintain knowledge of menus, Peruvian specialties, daily specials, and beverage pairings to assist guests effectively
• 🛠 Support opening and closing procedures, including sanitation checks and setup or breakdown of dining areas

Experience & Qualifications

• 🌟 MUST be bilingual and fluent in both Spanish and English
• 🧑‍🍳 Previous restaurant or food industry experience is valued but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
• 💻 Familiarity with POS systems, especially Clover
• 🤝 Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
• ⏱ Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
• 🥘 Knowledge of food preparation processes and kitchen operations is a plus
• 📈 Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques to boost sales performance
