Position Overview
Job Title: Bilingual Teen Outreach Librarian
Schedule: Part-time (20 hours/week), including some evenings and weekends
Location: Belmar Library, serving the Jefferson County community

Salary Range 💰
Hiring Range: $55,305.16 - $71,896.71 annually
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Community Engagement 🤝
- Perform complex research activities and advise patrons on suitable materials.
- Handle difficult questions and refer patrons to community resources.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere and provide access to physical and digital resources.
- Present library programs, classes, and workshops both on-site and off-site.
- Conduct library tours and outreach events to promote services and resources.
- Develop and facilitate seasonal and regular programs tailored to teens.
- Provide instruction and education to the public, both individually and in groups.
Core Library Services 📚
- Collaborate with team members to meet goals and deliver excellent service.
- Create and manage online content via social media and content management systems.
- Assist with collection maintenance, including recommendations and weeding.
- Gather and analyze data related to library usage and programs.
- Design displays, signs, and informational exhibits to engage visitors.
Daily Operations & Safety 🚧
- Maintain a positive, safe, and inviting environment.
- Ensure the library's general appearance and safety standards are upheld.
- Handle non-routine issues and emergencies effectively.
- Act as Person In Charge during assigned shifts.
Supervision & Leadership (Optional)
- Assist with hiring, training, and mentoring staff and volunteers.
- Supervise collection maintenance and ensure policy adherence.
- Coordinate schedules and oversee daily operations of ancillary staff.
