🔹 Position Summary

The Bilingual Teacher will instruct students in core academic subjects, college and career readiness, as well as extra-curricular activities such as Art, Music, Computers, and Health/Gym. The role involves helping students acclimate to American culture and imparting essential life skills. The teacher is responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, developing comprehensive instructional programs, managing classrooms effectively, and ensuring English Language Learners (ELL) in grades K-12 achieve TESOL standards across subjects like science, literature, and math.

📝 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver lessons across core subjects and extracurricular activities.
  • Create a supportive learning environment aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Support ELL students in meeting TESOL standards for grades K-12.

💼 In Home Counselor Role

The In Home Counselor maintains a caseload of 2-3 families and must be accessible 24/7 for crisis situations. Responsibilities include providing direct counseling services using individual, family, and group approaches, emphasizing crisis intervention. They evaluate client progress, conduct follow-ups at 3, 6, and 12 months, and complete all required reports promptly. The counselor should be reliable, organized, and skilled in home counseling, case management, and crisis intervention. Comfort working with children and families is essential.

🎓 Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred, from an accredited university.
  • Major in Education, Teaching English as a Second Language, Bilingual Education, or related fields.
  • Teaching Credentials:
    • Required: Certificate of Eligibility (CE) / License for K-12.
    • Preferred: Certification by relevant authorities in TESOL or related fields.
