This role is vital to the success of our retail stores, ensuring excellent customer service, achieving sales goals, and maintaining store standards. 🏪

Position Overview

Location: Store #5190, 399 Garrisonville Rd, Stafford, VA 22554

This position involves interacting with customers—both wholesale and retail—to understand their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend suitable solutions. Associates are responsible for promptly resolving customer concerns to maximize satisfaction, staying updated on product features, and upholding the store's visual and quality standards. They are also expected to contribute to sales growth and provide exceptional service. 💼

Note: Due to the nature of customer contact and store access, a criminal history review is conducted to ensure safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service to ensure high satisfaction levels 😊
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by identifying needs and suggesting products/services 📞
• Build trustful relationships with both wholesale and retail customers 🤝
• Process sales transactions accurately following company policies 🧾
• Meet and surpass sales goals monthly, quarterly, and annually 🎯
• Maintain organized work order files and formulas
• Pick, tint, and mix products per customer specifications 🎨
• Stock shelves and set up displays to ensure attractive presentation 🛍️
• Clean and maintain store equipment
• Load and unload delivery trucks
• Assist with deliveries as needed 🚚
• Keep areas in-stock and visually appealing
• Stay informed about product offerings and options 💡
• Follow inventory control procedures
• Propose strategies to enhance sales

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old
• Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship
• Proficient in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension)
• Ability, with or without reasonable accommodations, to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 70 lbs occasionally
• Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends
• If internal: Met expectations (rating of 3) on last performance review
• Completion of all relevant HR Cloud eLearning courses if internal

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
• High School diploma or GED
• At least one year experience in delivery, retail, or customer service roles
• Previous experience selling paint and related products
• Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment 🎨
