Overview
Our focus is on enhancing our branch customer experience by leveraging digital tools, managing lobby interactions, processing transactions accurately, and providing comprehensive retail banking services. You will play a vital role in ensuring customers feel valued and supported at every touchpoint.
🌟 Primary Responsibilities
- Customer Service Excellence: Adhere to established standards to deliver a differentiated experience by understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions during critical moments.
- Digital Education: Conduct shoulder-to-shoulder digital demonstrations and identify self-service opportunities aligned with customer needs.
- Lobby Management: Greet customers proactively, engage effectively, and take ownership to address immediate needs.
- Transaction Processing: Balance and process customer transactions accurately and efficiently in compliance with bank policies.
- Issue Resolution: Manage escalated account issues until resolved, accurately document complaints, and follow up as necessary.
- Sales Opportunities: Recognize sales opportunities and introduce customers to the appropriate banking partners.
- Operational Tasks: Perform branch operational activities such as cash ordering, vault handling, ATM management, and wire transfers.
- Account Maintenance & Compliance: Process customer and account updates, and complete AML/BSA/KYC activities as required.
- Risk and Regulatory Adherence: Follow compliance and operational risk controls according to company and regulatory standards.
- Environment & Culture: Promote an inclusive environment that reflects the M&T Bank brand and fosters a sense of belonging.
- Internal Controls & Audit: Maintain internal control standards and address audit points and regulator issues promptly.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned to support branch operations.

This role centers on delivering outstanding service, resolving routine customer issues promptly, and demonstrating empathy, flexibility, and digital fluency. You will coordinate with various bank departments to ensure smooth operations, stay updated on operational changes, and manage risks effectively to prevent losses and fraud.

🎓 Education & Experience
- Required: High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 months of customer service experience, including data entry and cash handling.
- Language Skills: Fluency in verbal and written English and Spanish, with proficiency assessed through an evaluation.
- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and prioritization skills. Well-organized and proficient with internet-based technology.

💰 Compensation & Location
We are committed to providing fair and competitive pay. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $20.00 to $30.41 USD. Compensation will reflect your specific skills, knowledge, and experience.
