About Braverhood

Braverhood is dedicated to providing compassionate support to children and young adults. We are hiring both part-time and full-time Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals both at home and in the community. Join us in our mission to foster independence and inclusion!

Responsibilities of the DSP 🤝

  • Foster a positive environment that enables individuals to succeed in personal goals, including social interactions and daily activities.
  • Collaborate with Case Supervisors to develop monthly goals and action plans.
  • Document services provided and progress made on a daily and monthly basis.
  • Support individuals with developmental disabilities at home and within the community.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and training once a year.
  • Submit all paperwork and monthly summaries promptly.
  • Adhere to all agency and OPWDD regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements 🎓

  • Accountability and commitment are essential for this role!
  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree required.
  • Experience with the special needs community, preferably with children or young adults, helping them with communication and social skills in the community.
  • Reliable transportation is a must.
  • Driver's license and vehicle are REQUIRED!!
  • U.S. citizenship or work permit required.
  • After hiring, completion of an online DSP training course.
  • Ability to show up to work on time.
  • Dress code: Casual — come as you are, but please dress appropriately and respectfully.
