About the Role 🎯
The Culture Associate plays a vital role in supporting student behavior, maintaining positive classroom environments, and reinforcing school-wide values. The role involves shaping and sustaining systems for community building and academic excellence, as well as supporting staff in implementing behavioral and cultural initiatives.
Responsibilities 📋
- Collaborate with the Dean of Students and MTSS Team to drive and sustain the school's culture framework, including data collection and analysis.
- Provide 1:1, small group, and whole class behavioral support and remediation based on observations.
- Monitor uniform compliance as scholars arrive in the morning.
- Respond to behavior referrals and support escalated students using SEL and RC practices.
- Input all behavior-related data into behavior data software.
- Participate in culture team meetings and professional development sessions.
- Support scholars in alternative placements and support cultural initiatives through family and student culture-huddles.
- Develop, implement, and revise culturally relevant systems with the support of the DOS.
- Analyze and present culture data to identify areas of focus for improvement.
- Plan and co-facilitate community meetings and school-wide culture activities.
- Assist with lunch and recess coverage as needed.
- Support arrival and dismissal procedures.
- Collaborate with the Dean of Students, Social Worker, and counselors for RTB committee planning and execution.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to uphold school culture.
Qualifications ✅
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Fluency in English and Spanish with 1-3 years of experience working with students or related fields.
- High professional and ethical standards.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and communities.
- Understanding of challenges faced by First Generation and economically vulnerable students.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Experience thriving in fast-paced environments.

Compensation 💰
The hourly rate ranges from $24.00 to $28.00, depending on experience, education, and certifications. This is a full-time position.
