Role Overview
As a Bilingual Senior Associate, Translation, you will spearhead translation initiatives for Humana’s communications, focusing on accuracy, cultural relevance, and compliance. This dynamic position involves enhancing processes, optimizing output quality, and shaping workflows within a cutting-edge translation management system powered by AI and ML technologies. Additionally, you will oversee associates in accordance with CMS guidelines.

Key Responsibilities 📝
- Oversee translation and composition processes for high-impact communications
- Manage translation projects from intake to delivery, defining and refining workflows within a new AI/ML-enabled platform
- Lead initiatives to improve translation accuracy, efficiency, and quality
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and brand standards, including CMS requirements for associate oversight
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure quality and smooth integration of new technologies
- Conduct quality assurance and troubleshoot translation issues effectively
- Maintain translation libraries and documentation to support continuous improvements
- Contribute to developing and implementing intake criteria and workflow optimizations for translation requests
Required Qualifications 🎯
- Bilingual in English and either Chinese, Korean, or Spanish—must pass a language proficiency test
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Linguistics, or related field, or 3–5 years of experience in translation management or content operations
- 2–4 years of project management and quality assurance experience
- 1–3 years working with translation platforms, CMS tools, and emerging AI/ML language processing technologies
- Proven ability to drive process improvements and optimize translation output
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications 🌟
- Experience in healthcare or regulated industries
- Multilingual proficiency or experience with localization efforts
- Knowledge of accessibility and cultural adaptation standards
- Experience in training or mentoring team members
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working within agile, pod-based, or cross-functional teams
Additional Information ℹ️
To enable effective remote or hybrid work, internet service must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps; wireless, wired cable or DSL recommended
- Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections require leadership approval
- Employees in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota working from home will receive bi-weekly internet expense reimbursements
- Humana provides appropriate telephone equipment for your role
- Designate a dedicated, interruption-free workspace to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
🛫 Travel: Occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required.
Work Schedule & Compensation 💼
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Pay Range: $59,300 - $80,900 per year (varies by location and experience)
This role is eligible for a performance-based bonus incentive plan.
