The Sales Representative will promote Class Produce Group products to both new prospects and existing clients, ensuring outstanding customer service and fostering long-term relationships.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Acquire New Accounts: Spend time in the field to secure initial and repeat orders, skillfully managing daily and weekly schedules to target potential and current customers.
- Order Management: Submit orders via in-person visits, fax, phone, or email; verify accuracy and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Reporting & Communication: Keep management informed with activity reports, including daily call reports, work plans, and customer/market analyses.
- Market Monitoring: Gather and analyze competitive information on pricing, products, and merchandising techniques to stay ahead in the marketplace.
- Customer Partnership: Collaborate closely with customers using a consultative approach to help grow their business.
- Recommendations & Improvements: Suggest product, service, and policy updates based on market and customer feedback.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints by investigating issues, proposing solutions, and consulting management for effective resolution.

🔑 Requirements
Education & Skills
- College degree preferred but not mandatory 📚
- Proficiency in MS Office required; knowledge of Prophet is a plus
- Prior produce sales experience (3+ years) required
- English/Spanish bilingual skills preferred
Licenses & Competencies
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation 🚗
- Strong customer service, sales, closing, negotiation, presentation, and territory management skills
- Proven prospecting abilities
🛠️ Working Conditions
This position involves both office work and on-site visits to customer locations. Regular local and regional travel is required to meet clients in person. The environment varies from office settings with moderate noise to customer sites like retail stores, warehouses, etc. Daily use of a computer and phone is essential, along with interaction with staff, customers, and vendors.
