Job Summary ✨
We are looking for a motivated, results-driven Sales Professional who excels in process technology within the food industry. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong technical aptitude, and enjoy building customer relationships. This role involves collaboration within a team-based, selling model targeting the snacking, granola, and cereal markets. The position is remote but requires proximity to a major airport on the East Coast or Midwest.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities 📋
- Meet or exceed sales & profitability targets
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned segment
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers as a trusted advisor
- Execute sales strategies for large global CPG customers
- Convey technical information clearly and effectively
- Gather and feedback the Voice of Customer to Sales and Business Development leaders
- Conduct product presentations highlighting solutions' value
- Collaborate with technical teams on customer projects
- Prepare compelling sales proposals and lead contract negotiations
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitive offerings
- Participate in trade shows and sales meetings as needed
- Provide insights for new product development and existing offering improvements
- Create accurate sales forecasts and opportunity analyses
- Respond promptly to customer requests and inquiries
- Generate trip reports and utilize Salesforce CRM
- Travel domestically and internationally up to 50%

Minimum Job Requirements 🎯
Education & Experience
- Bilingual: Fluent in Spanish; Portuguese is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business
- 5+ years of technical sales experience in processing capital equipment
- Strong closing skills and a dedicated work ethic
- Technical competence with excellent presentation abilities
- Proficiency in PC applications and tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SalesForce CRM
- Background in Cereal, Snack, Fruit, Vegetable, or Nut Drying Industries
- Experience in thermal processing or industrial drying
- Sales experience within the food processing industry
- Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes
Language Requirements 🗣️
- Required: English and Spanish fluency
- Portuguese proficiency is a significant plus
