About This Role
Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join our National Branch Network within the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. Discover more about our career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com.
Your Key Responsibilities
- 🤝 Deliver an exceptional customer experience by building relationships through proactive outreach and proposing suitable products, services, and digital solutions to support customers' financial success
- 📝 Assist customers with basic requests, including opening new accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications
- 🎯 Follow directions from managers and exercise judgment within established policies and procedures
- 🔍 Develop an understanding of bank products and services to connect with customers’ needs
- 💬 Interact with customers to demonstrate care and foster relationships
- 🎁 Provide appropriate options for bank products and services tailored to customer needs
- 🔄 Refer customers to other bankers and partners when additional support is needed
- This SAFE position involves customer contact, including offering and negotiating terms for dwelling-secured transactions, complying with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008, and meeting all related regulatory requirements. Employment hinges on passing background checks and satisfying Loan Originator criteria under Regulation Z (LO).
Required Qualifications ✅
- ≥ 6 months of customer interaction experience, demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education
Desired Qualifications 🌟
- Customer service focus with experience managing complex transactions across multiple systems
- Proactive engagement via phone or email to connect with customers
- Ability to educate customers about technology and promote mobile banking options
- Skill in fostering strong customer relationships and collaborating with internal teams
- Knowledge of policies, procedures, compliance, and fraud prevention
- Military experience in personnel benefits, military orders, wartime operations, HR, or recruiting
- Proven ability to proactively build and maintain relationships with customers and colleagues
- Supportive approach to resolving or escalating customer concerns
Job Expectations
- Work availability for weekends and holidays as required
- Handling cash, balancing cash drawers, and completing service tasks
- This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
- Willingness to travel 100% within the district
- Potential to rotate between branches to support locations or cover vacancies
- Commute to assigned locations with mileage or public transportation reimbursement
- Must obtain SAFE registration upon employment — Wells Fargo will initiate this process, with details available on the NMLS website
- Loan Originator qualifications and ongoing regulatory compliance are required for LO positions
