About the Role
As a Client Service Representative, you will deliver an industry-leading client service experience both in person and over the phone. You will develop and grow client relationships by providing tailored financial solutions, conducting consultative conversations, and collaborating with other business partners for additional growth. You may also perform teller duties as needed through cross-training.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Client Maintenance & Problem Resolution: Exercise advanced skills in handling routine client requests, resolving issues, and performing sales functions across deposit, credit, and other service lines.
- Customer Relationship Growth: Contribute to meeting and exceeding client service and sales targets by offering relevant products and services focused on developing, expanding, and retaining relationships.
- Sales Support: Support the team sales process through consultative conversations and referrals to specialists for complex financial needs.
- Team Engagement: Participate actively in all components of the Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership routines.
- Professional Development: Enhance sales techniques and product knowledge by attending training sessions, meetings, and online learning.
- Loan Advising & Applications: Provide advice on consumer lending options and assist with loan applications.
- Compliance & Controls: Follow internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, staying informed of policy updates.
- Exceptional Client Engagement: Ensure a positive client experience through courteous interactions, greeting clients, and guiding them within the branch.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of client sales and service experience
- Experience sourcing and prospecting new clients, building relationships
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Must obtain SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliance within 30 days, including NMLS background check
- Ability to multitask efficiently under time constraints
- Willingness to travel for staffing needs, temporary assignments, or relocations
- Availability to work weekends and extended hours, with occasional overnight travel
Preferred:
- Associate’s degree or higher
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience discussing and selling deposit, credit, and retirement products
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures
