Position Details

• Position: Contractor Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Type: Contract, Full-Time (FT) Hours
• Location: Philadelphia, PA 19133 Area
• Language Requirement: Bilingual speakers (Spanish preferred)
• Schedule: Available Monday-Friday, 8AM-8PM, with high demand on Fridays
• Compensation: $64.00 per hour

Role Summary

The PMHNP will provide comprehensive psychiatric services, including diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and clinical support for clients with varied mental, emotional, behavioral, or developmental needs. As an independent contractor, you will operate with flexibility and autonomy while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote wellness, recovery, and resilience in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure thorough, accurate, and up-to-date medical and health documentation for clients
• Provide evidence-based therapeutics, including medication prescriptions
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental status exams in line with documentation standards
• Complete all necessary client documentation, such as evaluations, lab requests, incident reports, etc.
• Participate in monthly case reviews with supervisory staff to assess progress and set goals
• Collaborate with treatment team members to monitor client progress and treatment needs
• Maintain effective communication with clients, families, providers, caseworkers, and other professionals involved in care
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and policies
• Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain necessary credentials for practice

Requirements

• Education: Master's or higher degree in nursing science
• License: Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania PMHNP license
• Additional Licenses: Eligibility for DEA licensure
• Experience: Minimum of 12 years psychiatric experience preferred
• Language: Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) required
