Position: People Business Partner (PBP) 🤝
The People Business Partner (PBP) plays a vital role in aligning talent and organizational strategies by supporting corporate leaders with proactive solutions, insights, and guidance. This role acts as a key link between corporate functions and HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), driving initiatives that boost engagement, leadership capabilities, and a high-performance culture. Combining strategic partnership with practical support, the PBP ensures our people practices enhance business effectiveness and deliver exceptional employee experiences across all corporate teams.
Duties and Responsibilities 🎯
- Trusted Advisor: Serve as a confidant to leaders in Finance, IT, Commercial, HR, Legal, and other support functions, providing guidance on organizational planning, leadership development, and engagement strategies.
- Strategic People Initiatives: Collaborate with leaders to design and execute workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design within corporate departments.
- HR Collaboration: Partner with HR Centers of Excellence including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, Talent Analytics, and HR Service Center to synchronize programs and policies with business goals.
- Employee Matters: Work with HR Service Center and Managers to ensure consistent application of HR policies and effective resolution of employee issues.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize data and insights to inform decision-making, monitor engagement and retention trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Leadership Coaching: Coach leaders and managers to strengthen their capabilities, support career growth, and foster collaborative, high-performing teams.
- Talent & Performance: Support talent management and performance processes like calibration, development planning, and succession planning.
- Organizational Change: Contribute to change management and organizational transformation initiatives, ensuring readiness and alignment.
- People Practice Consistency: Promote fairness and adapt approaches to meet the unique needs of each corporate function.
- Continuous Improvement: Engage in HR projects, pilots, and initiatives that drive innovation and enhance the employee experience.

- 10+ years in HR, with preferred experience as a Business Partner or HR Generalist
- Experience in large, multi-unit companies
- Proven ability to influence leaders and collaborate cross-functionally
- Passion for employee experience and inclusive people practices
Additional Details 📍💼
Location: Hybrid role, candidates must reside near La Jolla, CA
Salary Range: $100,000 – $125,000, based on market data and experience
