Our client is a leading provider of fine linen rentals serving restaurants, catering venues, hotels, event planners, and conference centers across the hospitality industry.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, bilingual (English/Spanish) Payroll Specialist to join our client at their Peekskill, NY office. The role focuses on full-cycle payroll processing with additional support for HR and Finance functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with payroll and timekeeping platforms such as Paychex and/or Kronos, and will have opportunities to develop into more senior HR Business Partner responsibilities over time.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

  • 📝 Process weekly payroll accurately and on time for all employees
  • 📁 Manage and maintain payroll records and electronic employee files
  • ⏰ Ensure time and attendance data from Kronos (or similar systems) is integrated properly for payroll runs
  • 📊 Prepare payroll reports and assist with reconciliations
  • 🤝 Support the HR Manager with HR operational functions as needed
  • 🗓️ Aid in month-end and year-end financial close procedures
  • 🖥️ Assist with routine accounting and administrative tasks
  • 🔎 Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
  • 🤫 Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
  • 🔄 Help continuously improve payroll and HR processes

🎯 Qualifications

  • Required: Bilingual (English & Spanish)
  • Preferred: Experience with Paychex and/or Kronos
  • Minimum: 1+ years payroll processing experience (HR support experience a plus)
  • Familiarity with timekeeping systems and payroll platforms
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
