What It Is
As a Patient Care Advocate at 9amHealth, you will be the cornerstone of our support system, ensuring our members receive compassionate and comprehensive assistance throughout their care journey. Your interactions will span phone calls, texts, emails, and messaging platforms, working closely with clinical specialists to provide seamless healthcare support.
You will be the first point of contact—answering questions from enrollment to ongoing care, directing members to the right team members, and fostering a warm, empathetic relationship with each individual.

- Inbound phone calls, including those from partnership teams
- Inbound in-app messages and texts
- Inbound emails
- Other duties as per daily schedule
Shifts Available 🕒
Monday - Friday:
- 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM PST / 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM EST
- 3:30 AM – 12:00 PM PST / 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM EST
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM PST / 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM EST
What You’ll Do 💼
- Provide timely technical and product support to members via messaging and calls, ensuring adherence to SLAs
- Proactively follow up on unresolved inquiries for full resolution
- Collaborate with clinical teams to relay accurate, timely information
- Document member interactions precisely for seamless care coordination
- Manage and update member data, maintaining confidentiality and data privacy
- Become an expert on 9amHealth’s offerings
- Assist members with insurance approval processes
- Identify trends affecting members and communicate insights effectively
- Maintain a positive, empathetic attitude in all interactions, advocating for process improvements and new initiatives
- Consistently achieve high customer satisfaction scores

What You’ll Need ✅
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of customer service experience in healthcare
- Fluent in both spoken and written Spanish
- Effective communication skills—clear, empathetic, and capable of explaining complex health information
- Strong problem-solving, de-escalation, and resolution abilities
- Experience with customer service platforms (e.g., Zendesk) and healthcare systems (e.g., EMRs)
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet workspace to ensure privacy
- Understanding of insurance workflows and HIPAA compliance
