📋 Job Description
Required: Bilingual - fluent in English & Spanish
As a Bilingual Patient Accounts Representative, you will be responsible for data entry, account analysis, and maintaining client relationships. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient service. A minimum of one year of experience in patient financial services is required.
📝 Responsibilities
- Patient Interviews: Conduct in-person or telephone interviews within HIPAA guidelines to determine eligibility based on client site and trust fund regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of all patients applying for financial assistance, including applications, proof of income, and correspondence.
- Compliance: Follow departmental and hospital policies to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Communication: Maintain daily contact with hospital departments and outside entities regarding self-pay referrals.
- Assistance with Applications: Help patients complete applications for government and state programs.
- Data Management: Track and maintain statistical data related to financial determinations.
- Follow-Up: Reach out to patients or families post-discharge to facilitate timely application completion.
- Application Submission: Submit completed applications promptly for approval.
- Record Updates: Document all actions taken on patient accounts within hospital systems.
- Eligibility Initiatives: Initiate online Presumptive Eligibility (PE) checks for Medicaid/NJ Family Care.
- Form Completion: Fill out PA1C forms for Medicaid/NJ Family Care eligibility.
- Special Projects: Assist management with ad hoc projects as needed.
- Task Management: Ensure routine and priority tasks are completed timely.
- Participation: Engage actively in meetings, training, and cross-training activities.
- Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

💸 Compensation
Hourly rate ranges from $19.00 to $23.00, depending on experience.
🗓️ Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, totaling 40 hours per week.

🎯 Job Requirements
- Bilingual: Fluent in writing, reading, and speaking in Spanish (required)
- Education: High school diploma or GED (minimum)

🧍 Physical & Travel Requirements
- Sitting for extended periods and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
