Position: Full-time Flex Houseparents
Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support to groups of approximately 8–13 students. They play a crucial role in fostering a structured, family-like environment that promotes academic, emotional, and social growth, empowering students to reach their full potential. 🌟
Responsibilities
- Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students
- Managing household routines and student schedules
- Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
- Driving students to activities and planning engaging developmental and recreational activities
- Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
- Overseeing household budgeting and reporting
Work Schedule & Transition
Initially, Flex Houseparents support various student homes with a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. During weekdays, they have unscheduled time while students are in school. Over time, they transition into a Placed Houseparent role, where they live and work with the same students in their own dedicated home. 🏡
Compensation & Benefits 💼
- Salary: $44,768 per person (approx. $168,000 total per couple), including free housing, meals during duty, utilities, and more

- Relocation assistance and paid training
- Paid time off at various times during the year
Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Up to three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one approved breed dog
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to certify to drive student vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and church services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated professionalism and integrity; role models for students
