Position Overview 🔑
As a Flex Houseparent, you will reside in on-campus student homes, guiding a group of approximately 8–13 students. Your role is central to providing care, supervision, mentorship, and creating a family-like atmosphere that encourages students to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities 🎯
- Providing daily supervision and mentorship
- Managing household routines and student schedules
- Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
- Driving students to activities and planning engaging developmental and recreational activities
- Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
- Overseeing household budgeting and reporting
Initially, Flex Houseparents support various student homes with a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off. During weekdays, they enjoy unscheduled time while students are in school. Eventually, couples transition into a Placed Houseparent role, living and working with their own designated student group in a dedicated home.
Benefits & Compensation 💰
- Salary: $44,768 per person (approximate total package of ~$168,000 per couple), including free housing, meals on duty, utilities, and more

Qualifications & Requirements ✅
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Legally married couples for at least two years
- Both spouses aged 27 or older
- Maximum of three dependent children residing in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one approved-breed dog allowed
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive student vans
- Ability to lead students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism, serving as positive role models
