Position Overview: Full-Time Flex Houseparents 🏠❤️

We are seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this meaningful role, couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing essential care, guidance, supervision, and support to groups of approximately 8–13 students. Your involvement helps create a structured, family-like environment where students thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.

Key Responsibilities 📋

  • Providing daily supervision and mentorship: Be a positive influence on students’ lives.
  • Managing household routines and student schedules: Ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Administering medications and overseeing student wellness: Prioritize health and safety.
  • Driving students to activities & planning recreational events: Encourage development through engaging activities.
  • Leading daily devotions & attending Sunday Chapel: Foster spiritual growth (proselytizing prohibited).
  • Overseeing household budgeting and reporting: Maintain financial and operational accountability.

Working Schedule & Transition 🚦

Initially, Flex Houseparents support various student homes on a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off. During weekdays, they have unscheduled time while students are in school. Over time, they transition into a Placed Houseparent role, permanently living and working with their assigned group of students in a dedicated home.

Compensation & Benefits 💰🎉

  • Salary: $44,768 per person (approx. $168,000 per couple annually)

Qualifications ✅

  • Experience working or volunteering with youth
  • Married for at least two years with both spouses aged 27 or older
  • Maximum of three dependent children residing in the home
  • Commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; no alcohol during duty
  • Pet limitations: only fish and one approved breed of dog
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license & ability to obtain student van certification
  • Comfort leading daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Demonstrated integrity & professionalism; serve as positive role models
