Position Overview: Full-time Flex Houseparents
👏 MHS is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this life-changing role, couples reside on-campus in student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support to approximately 8–13 students. Your role helps foster a nurturing, family-like environment that promotes academic achievement and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing daily supervision and mentorship 🤝
- Managing household routines and student schedules 🗓️
- Administering medications and ensuring overall student wellness 💊
- Driving students to various activities and engaging in developmental and recreational activities 🚗🎨
- Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel 🙏
- Overseeing household budgeting and reporting 🧾
Initially, Flex Houseparents support various student homes on a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off. During weekdays, they have unscheduled time while students are in school. Over time, many transition into a Placed Houseparent role, living and working with the same group of students in their own home.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience working or volunteering with youth 🤝
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years ❤️
- Both spouses aged 27 or older 👩🧓👨🧓
- Maximum of three dependent children residing in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus 🚭🔫
- Prohibition of alcohol while on duty 🍷❌
- Pet restrictions: only fish and one approved breed dog allowed 🐟🐶
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to certify to drive student vans 🚗
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services; proselytizing is prohibited 🙏✝️
- High school diploma or GED required 🎓
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 💪
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and role modeling for students 🌟
