Position Overview
As a Full-time Flex Houseparent, couples reside in on-campus student homes, offering care, guidance, supervision, and support to a group of approximately 8–13 students. This role is vital in creating a structured, family-like environment that supports students' academic, emotional, and social growth, empowering them to reach their full potential. 🏡
Key Responsibilities
- Providing daily supervision and mentorship
- Managing household routines and student schedules
- Administering medications and overseeing student wellness
- Driving students to activities and planning engaging developmental and recreational activities
- Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
- Overseeing household budgeting and reporting
Work Schedule & Transition
Initially, Flex Houseparents support various student homes, working a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. During weekdays, houseparents have unscheduled time while students are in school. Over time, they transition into a Placed Houseparent role, living and working with a consistent group of students in their own home. 🔄

Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Legally married couples for at least two years
- Both spouses aged 27 or older
- Maximum of three dependent children residing in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one approved breed dog
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism, serving as role models for students
