Position Overview
As a Flex Houseparent, you and your spouse will reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support to groups of approximately 8–13 students. This vital role helps foster a nurturing, family-like environment that nurtures students’ academic, emotional, and social growth. 🤝
Key Responsibilities
- Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students
- Managing household routines and student schedules
- Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
- Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational events
- Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
- Overseeing household budgeting and reporting
Work Schedule & Transition
Initially, Flex Houseparents support various student homes on a schedule of nine days on duty, followed by three days off. During weekdays, they have unscheduled time while students are in school. Eventually, they transition into a Placed Houseparent role, living and working with the same group of students in their own home. 🏡

- Salary: $44,768 per person (total approximate compensation of $168,000 per couple), including housing, meals, utilities, and more

Qualifications ✅
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Married couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses aged 27 or older
- Maximum of three dependents residing in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one breed-approved dog
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to certify to drive student vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong integrity and professionalism; role models for students
