Role Overview

As a Medical Assistant, you will provide vital clinical support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our clinic. Your role includes assisting providers and patients with various tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. Your goal is to perform all duties accurately, efficiently, and with high quality.

Key Responsibilities 🚑

  • Greet, room, and prepare patients for evaluations and procedures.
  • Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, and chief complaints.
  • Assist physicians during examinations, injections, wound care, and more.
  • Prepare, maintain, and sanitize examination and procedure rooms, ensuring instruments are stocked and ready.
  • Coordinate diagnostic tests (X-rays, MRI, CT scans, lab work) and ensure results are available for review.
  • Educate patients on post-procedure care, medication instructions, and follow-up plans.
  • Document clinical encounters accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Handle prescription refill requests as directed by physicians.
  • Support front office tasks such as scheduling and responding to patient inquiries when needed.
  • Assist with orthopedic durable medical equipment (DME), including braces, boots, and crutches.

Minimum Qualifications ✅

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, or X-Ray Technician.
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and external parties.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications 🌟

  • Experience operating a C-Arm.
  • Bilingual in English and Korean.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.

Physical Requirements 💪

  • Ability to lift and position patients and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Prolonged standing, bending, and fine motor activities.
  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and surgical chemicals, adhering to OSHA Standards.
