20four7VA is expanding its team of offshore independent contractors to provide exceptional virtual support to clients worldwide, especially in developed markets such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. We are currently seeking a bilingual (Mandarin) professional to support a California-based law firm in both client intake and administrative functions.
Position Overview
This full-time, remote role involves supporting client communications, interpreting Mandarin-English interactions, and handling administrative tasks critical to legal operations. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, empathetic, and comfortable managing translation and administrative duties in a fast-paced legal setting.
Work Schedule: Full-time, during Pacific Standard Time (PST) business hours
Scope of Services
Client Intake & Language Support (30-40%)
- Serve as the primary contact for Mandarin-speaking clients, both prospective and existing
- Provide real-time interpretation between Mandarin and English during calls
- Assist with client intake calls, gathering essential case information
- Ensure clear and accurate communication between clients and attorneys
- Translate written communications and documents as necessary
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and empathy during sensitive interactions
Administrative & Operational Support (60-70%)
- Manage and route incoming calls using RingCentral
- Update and maintain records in MyCase legal management software
- Assist attorneys with documentation and follow-ups on cases
- Coordinate client communications and schedule appointments
- Perform general virtual assistant and administrative duties
- Keep digital records organized and confidential
Qualifications
Required
- Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written)
- Strong English communication skills (spoken and written)
- At least 3 years of experience in:
- Client intake
- Administrative support
- Virtual assistance or office support roles
- Confident and professional phone presence
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive legal information discreetly
- Comfortable working full-time during PST business hours
Preferred
- Cantonese language proficiency (a strong plus)
- Experience in a law firm or legal environment
- Proficiency with:
- RingCentral
- MyCase or similar legal case management software
- Experience supporting bilingual clients

Work Schedule & Engagement Terms
Weekly Hours: 40 hours
Working Days: Monday through Friday
Daily Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM PST (including a 1-hour unpaid lunch)
Note: We strive to align your schedule with the client’s preferred hours, but flexibility may be necessary based on timezone, capacity, and contractual agreements. Any adjustments require mutual agreement in writing.
Engagement Details
- Operate under a Master Services Agreement and Statement of Work
- This is a contractual position, not employment; contractors are independent
- All payments are processed through 20four7VA based on agreed terms
