Key Responsibilities 🔍

  • Complaint Review: Examine incoming complaints and determine appropriate next steps.
  • Gather Evidence: Analyze payroll records, conduct onsite inspections, and interviews to verify violations.
  • Communication: Write letters and facilitate conferences with claimants and employers, communicating fluently in Spanish.
  • Case Preparation: Prepare detailed reports, maintain case records, and testify in court if needed.
  • Public Education: Inform contractors, employees, officials, and the public about labor law requirements.

Work Schedule & Additional Info 🕒

  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Work Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 60-minute lunch
  • Telework: This position is home headquartered. Requires high-speed internet and work from an approved PA location.
  • Salary: Starting salary may be non-negotiable; further communication will be via email.

Qualifications & Requirements ✅

Minimum Experience & Training:

  • One year of technical investigative or trades experience plus a bachelor's degree; or
  • Two years of similar experience plus an associate’s degree; or
  • Equivalent experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • Fluent in Spanish (speaking and writing)
  • Must possess and maintain federally compliant ID (e.g., U.S. Passport, REAL ID, Military ID)
  • Willing to relocate to counties within Harrisburg District (expenses not covered)
  • Ability to uphold the values, ethics, professionalism, discretion, and work ethic of the Department
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform essential job functions

Preferred Qualifications (optional but valued):

  • Experience in investigations, construction, trades, business management, finance, accounting, or conflict resolution
  • Higher education (associate’s degree or greater) related to investigative fields
  • Experience enforcing labor and employment laws
  • Experience providing court testimony
