Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Underwriter to join our team. The ideal candidate will evaluate business funding applications, analyze financial documents and risk profiles, and make informed decisions regarding approvals and funding amounts within our Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) programs.

Since a significant portion of our clientele are Chinese-speaking business owners, fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is strongly preferred. We offer training for candidates with strong analytical skills and a willingness to learn.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year 💰

Responsibilities

• 📝 Review and assess MCA applications for small businesses
• 🔎 Analyze bank statements, credit card processing data, and credit reports
• ⚖️ Evaluate risk exposure and determine suitable funding amounts and structures
• 📞 Communicate with ISO and sales teams to gather missing documentation
• 🗂 Maintain organized and accurate records of all underwriting decisions
• 🤝 Collaborate with funding and sales teams to expedite approval processes
• ✅ Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• 💼 MCA or financial services experience preferred
• 📊 Familiarity with financial statements, credit analysis, and risk metrics
• 🧮 Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and data analysis abilities
• 🔍 Exceptional attention to detail and decision-making skills
• 🗣 Excellent communication and organizational skills
• 🚀 Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• 🇨🇳 Need to know Chinese
