Position Overview: Human Resources Manager 🌐

As our HR Manager, you will lead strategic HR initiatives supporting our Denver, Commerce City (CO) manufacturing facilities, along with a predominantly remote field workforce across the U.S. You will shape human capital strategies that align with our goal to be the premier building products provider in North America.

This role involves close collaboration with site leadership and cross-functional teams, providing end-to-end HR support through a centralized shared services model covering compliance, payroll, leave, and talent acquisition. Your leadership will cultivate a high-performing, engaged, and people-first culture—regardless of location.

Key Responsibilities ✅

Culture, Engagement & Safety 🚦

  • Champion and embed our core values of Safety, Integrity, and Inclusion, along with Behaviors & Mindsets such as Customer Centricity, Interconnectedness, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Partner with EHS to promote a robust safety culture through meetings, safety walks, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives by supporting surveys, analyzing results, and executing action plans.
  • Foster positive employee relations via visible leadership, effective communication, and employee activities.

Strategic HR Partnership 🤝

  • Support workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and team development in collaboration with leaders.
  • Assist in building high-performance teams through performance management, recognition, incentives, and learning programs.
  • Coordinate with Learning & Development for leadership training, upskilling, and succession planning.
  • Participate in HR strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects within the Surface Solutions Business Unit and enterprise-wide.

Talent, Workforce & Performance Management 🎯

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to support recruitment, onboarding, and pipeline development for both on-site and remote roles.
  • Coach leaders on performance management, providing feedback and handling corrective actions.
  • Manage employee relations issues including investigations related to performance, conduct, harassment, or workplace complaints.
  • Support employee separations, ensuring alignment with policies, documentation, and compliance standards.

Compliance, HR Operations & Shared Services 🤖

  • Ensure adherence to employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, etc.), collaborating with compliance teams.
  • Implement consistent HR policies across all populations including remote employees.
  • Assist with accommodations, leave, attendance, and HRIS data accuracy.
  • Support compensation actions like promotions, merit increases, and market adjustments.

Data, Reporting & Business Insights 📊

  • Maintain HR data integrity, utilizing HRIS, Excel, and Power BI to generate insightful reports.
  • Analyze workforce metrics such as turnover, engagement, training, and overtime trends.
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform leadership decisions and continuous improvement efforts.

Community & DEI Initiatives 🌎

  • Promote Diversity, Equity & Inclusion by ensuring equitable access to resources and development.
  • Lead CBB Cares programs including Connecting Communities, Home for Good, Employee Assistance Fund, and other engagement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience 🌟

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development, Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 5–6+ years in progressive HR roles, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or production environments.
  • Experience supporting multi-site and remote workforces.
  • Proficiency in HR systems, reporting tools, with strong skills in Excel and Power BI.
  • Language: Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.

Salary Range: $100,000–$120,000 annually, with bonus potential, comprehensive health benefits starting on day one, 401(k), and PTO. Salary offers depend on location, skills, experience, and education. Your recruiter can provide specific details for your preferred location.

Note: Full-time role entails working 30+ hours per week.
