Position Location & Travel 💼✈️
This role is based at our Tysons, VA headquarters and involves frequent travel to construction sites.
Key Responsibilities 🛠️
- On-site presence: Work directly at construction job sites.
- Employee Relations: Act as a liaison between employees and management, investigating complaints, providing counseling, and supporting conflict resolution.
- Disciplinary Support: Recommend corrective actions and assist supervisors with discipline and separation processes.
- Work Environment Monitoring: Conduct site walkarounds, interact with employees, and address concerns.
- HR Escalations: Identify issues needing escalation to corporate HR.
- Legal & Policy Guidance: Stay informed of labor laws, clarify policies, and coach supervisors on compliance.
- Performance Management: Facilitate annual reviews and participate in evaluations.
- Training & Orientation: Arrange training sessions and facilitate new hire orientations.
- Employee Education & Communication: Educate on benefits, ensure compliance posters are updated, and respond to inquiries.
- Retention Strategies: Conduct exit interviews, determine root causes, and suggest improvements.
- Policy Development: Recommend enhancements to improve the employee experience.

Qualifications & Experience 🎓🌎
- 2+ years' relevant experience in employee relations or related fields, preferably in construction or engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Associate's degree with 6+ years of experience, or 8+ years without a degree.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
- Willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time.
