Human Resources Support Role 📋🤝
This position provides comprehensive daily HR support for a specified region, working collaboratively with the DC Human Resource Manager and distribution center management to achieve company goals. Key functions include:
- Partner engagement and performance management
- Recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new partners
- Compliance with employment laws (Federal & State)
- Employee relations and benefits administration
- Leaves of absence and union avoidance strategies
- Training, leadership development, and hr systems oversight
Essential Job Functions 📝
The partner in this role must be capable of performing any of the following responsibilities, with or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Conduct initial support and investigations regarding employee relations issues, assessing severity and collaborating on appropriate action to mitigate legal risks.
- Provide guidance to DC Management on company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and facilitate annual benefits open enrollment meetings.
- Oversee time and attendance processing biweekly, coaching management on system platforms.
- Collaborate with management on staffing needs, analyze turnover metrics, and recommend retention strategies.
- Support posting and filling open positions, onboarding new hires, and maintaining job descriptions.
- Manage workers’ compensation processes and collaborate on return-to-work accommodations.
- Assist in unemployment claim responses and participate in related hearings.
- Support talent assessments and performance review cycles with process management and communication.
- Audit HR and training systems to ensure mandatory compliance.
- Work with HR COEs to standardize practices and improve policies across distribution centers.
Education & Experience 🎓💼
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in distribution, retail, or manufacturing settings
- Bidirectional Spanish/English skills and PHR certification preferred
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS, applicant tracking, time & attendance platforms
