As our HR Generalist, you’ll be the heartbeat of the Pedone Pinsa crew — supporting our team from their very first day and every step after. You’ll handle everything from onboarding and benefits to employee check-ins and compliance. Most importantly, you’ll help create a workplace where people feel welcome, appreciated, and ready to rise! 🎉
💼 Responsibilities — How This Position Supports Our Vision
- Promote a high-performance, people-first culture that aligns with our values.
- Prepare onboarding documents.
- Assist with benefit presentations and help employees navigate enrollment or changes.
- Support payroll processing by reviewing timesheets and addressing discrepancies.
- Coordinate with office administration for time-off requests and leave programs with care and accuracy.
- Create and maintain reports like attendance, new hire, and turnover tracking.
- Support recruiting through job postings, candidate screening, interviews, onboarding, and sourcing events like job fairs.
- Assist managers in addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and improving morale in a timely manner.
- Perform clerical tasks such as copying, printing, scanning, shredding, faxing, filing, and managing professional mail.
- Help plan and implement employee engagement programs and recognition initiatives.
- Support performance review processes, including tracking goals and feedback.
- Coordinate training programs and identify development needs across departments.
- Maintain up-to-date employee files and process updates in the system.
- Provide comprehensive support to the Director of Human Resources, HR staff, and leadership team members as needed.
- Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.
🎓 Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or relevant business-related experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of HR Generalist or similar HR experience.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish — both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Demonstrates high integrity, especially in handling confidential matters.
- Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, growing environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills — clear, professional, and trustworthy.
- Ability to stay calm and focused during challenging conversations or circumstances.
- A curious, continuous learner who stays current on HR laws and best practices.
🔧 Additional Information
Improving the System
All Pedone Pinsa associates are responsible for documenting and resolving system issues. Additionally, this role involves participating in improvement projects, planning, communicating, and implementing solutions where possible.
Personal Improvement
Pedone Pinsa provides resources and support for education and training as needed. It’s the associate’s responsibility to seek approval, schedule, and participate in development activities that prepare for current and future roles. A post-training recap may be required.
