Overview
Vaco/Highspring is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a well-established organization with extensive regional field operations. Due to client confidentiality, specific details will be shared only with shortlisted candidates.
We are seeking a bilingual Human Resources Business Partner to support a large, distributed workforce across major metro and coastal markets in the southeastern U.S. This role is crucial in shaping workforce strategies, improving employee retention, and advising frontline leadership and field operations hands-on.
The workforce includes both unionized and non-union hourly employees across several high-volume service locations. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with local management to execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and compliance standards.
Role Details
Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Work Arrangement: 100% onsite, with weekly travel to Miami-Dade County and nearby regions
Residency: Candidates must reside in Broward County or close proximity. Remote or relocation candidates are not eligible due to urgent staffing needs.
Key Responsibilities 💼
- Provide comprehensive HR support to multi-site field teams, including union and non-union environments.
- Lead and execute strategic HR initiatives such as workforce planning, organizational design, and talent development.
- Manage labor relations matters with discretion, including grievance handling, union interactions, and policy interpretation.
- Analyze workforce metrics (e.g., turnover rates, engagement scores), and partner with operational leaders to develop actionable solutions.
- Lead employee relations activities such as coaching, performance management, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Prepare field teams for cyclical ramp-ups through proactive planning, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Collaborate with other HRBPs and engagement specialists to ensure consistent HR support across the region.
Candidate Profile 🎯
- 7+ years of HR experience, preferably supporting multi-location or field operations.
- Strong familiarity with union environments and labor relation processes is highly preferred.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
- Deep knowledge of workforce metrics and performance frameworks in high-volume, service-oriented settings.
- Ability to work independently, maintain boundaries, and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree required; HR certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR are advantageous.
Compensation & Benefits 💰
- Salary: $100,000 - $110,000, dependent on experience
- 15% discretionary annual bonus
