Job Summary
The HR Business Partner will collaborate with various HR centers of excellence (Talent, Learning & Development, Pay & Benefits) and partner with business leaders to implement HR strategies that promote growth and success within the organization.
Responsibilities of the Position
- 🤝 Create and maintain collaborative relationships across HR functions and support project work as needed.
- 🌱 Partner with leaders to foster a culture that encourages growth for both our people and the business.
- 🕵️♂️ Lead employee relations processes, including investigations and legal filings. Guide both employees and management to resolve conflicts fairly and promptly. Maintain records to monitor trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks.
- 📜 Collaborate with HR and legal teams to develop and enforce company policies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and guidelines (NLRB, EEOC, IDHR). Align organizational practices with legal standards to mitigate risks.
- 🛡️ Act as an advocate for employees, addressing concerns and providing guidance on rights, benefits, and well-being resources.
- 👥 Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly operations roles, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer preparation. Partner with hiring managers to meet workforce needs and deliver an excellent candidate experience.
- 📊 Generate insights and develop action plans from employee data (surveys, exit interviews, floor walks) to inform talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies.
- 🤝 Build partnerships with staffing agency HR teams to ensure smooth management of temporary workforce needs.
- ⚙️ Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 🇪🇸 Fluency in Spanish is required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills with a diplomatic approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to establish a visible presence in the business and position HR as a strategic partner.
- Experience in recruiting, talent acquisition strategies, sourcing techniques, and applicant tracking systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant HR experience.
Food Safety Responsibilities
- Attend all food safety training sessions (GMP, SQF, HACCP, Allergen, Food Facility Security, Preventing Foodborne Illness).
- Participate in GMP walks around the facility.
- Enforce company rules related to food safety and monitoring practices.
Working Conditions
- Work in office and warehouse environments with temperatures ranging from 55 – 80°F.
- May require night or weekend shifts based on business needs.
- Primarily based in our Bartlett facility, with occasional work at Elk Grove Village.
Physical Requirements
- Operate standard office equipment.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Lift up to 25 pounds.
Salary and Benefits 💰
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000, plus an 8% bonus opportunity.
