📝 JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Bilingual Health Educator (HE) who will be responsible for answering incoming calls on our educational support line, available during evenings and weekends with varied shifts. Key transferrable skills include problem-solving, professionalism, compassion, communication, organization, attention to detail, and resourcefulness.
At Snow Companies, our focus is on guiding the patient journey. The Health Educator must embody openness, compassion, and sensitivity to the unique experiences of patients and caregivers, integrating these insights into our strategies and solutions. The role reports directly to the Team Lead.
🔒 PATIENT PRIVACY
Since our business revolves around working with patients, you will likely handle personally identifiable information (PII) and personal health information (PHI). You will be required to successfully complete training in:
- Snow Policies and Procedures
- Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance, including the Privacy and Security Rules, and Sunshine Act reporting
- Adverse Event (AE) Reporting
- Pharmaceutical promotional requirements under the FDA and FTC regulations
- Privacy and Data Security protocols
🎯 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Health Educator, your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Candidates should bring relevant experience, be proactive in sharing ideas, work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, complete projects proactively, and collaborate seamlessly with team members.
- Successfully listen and respond to callers on the educational support line 📞
- Follow scripts, FAQs, and resource documents closely 📄
- Understand and adhere to patient privacy laws (HIPAA) 🔐
- Maintain current knowledge of diseases and demonstrate sensitivity 🩺
- Communicate effectively with managers, clients, customers, and the public 🗣️
- Fluency in a foreign language is a plus but not required 🌎

Note: This role may involve up to 10% travel, depending on business needs.
The Health Educator may perform additional duties aligned with business needs.

🎓 EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination 🎓
- Medical background preferred 🩺
- Basic computer skills, including database entry and patient communication experience 💾
- Experience with call center operations and troubleshooting 📞
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications 💻
- Fluency in Spanish highly desired 🇪🇸
⚙️ PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employees must regularly stand, walk, sit, handle objects, reach, and communicate. You should be able to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and more than 25 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close, color, and focused vision. Ability to operate a motor vehicle is also necessary.
🌿 WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS
The typical work environment involves moderate noise levels with minimal physical risks. This role is remote, offering flexibility and convenience.
💰 SALARY & BENEFITS
The expected hourly salary range is $22 per hour. Salaries vary based on experience, responsibilities, and organizational needs. This is a fully remote position.
