Essential Duties

Assist clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety. You may:

• Help with personal hygiene (toileting, bathing, skin and hair care)
• Assist with ambulation, dressing, shaving, and light housekeeping
• Prepare simple meals and work in the kitchen
• Support with prescribed activities such as:
• Changing ostomy appliances
• Reinforcing dressings
• Using aid devices (cane, walker, wheelchair, lift)
• Range of motion exercises
• Simple urine tests (with or without interpreting results)
• Measuring and preparing diets, intake/output
• Taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure)
• Applying external catheters, arm/slim splints or slings

Must-Haves

• High school diploma or G.E.D. 🎓
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a CNA
• Completion of a State-approved CNA course and competency evaluation
• Empathy and a caring attitude towards clients
• Current CPR, First Aid, and Food Handlers certifications
• Ability to provide direct patient care and communicate effectively in English
• Valid driver’s license, insured automobile or reliable transportation
