About the Role

We are seeking teachers and tutors fluent in Haitian-Creole and English with daytime availability (e.g., 8am-4pm Eastern) to provide online ELA and/or Math instruction. This is a virtual-only position that does not require classroom presence.

Tutored by Teachers (TbT) aims to advance educational equity by supporting high-need students nationwide. Focus on teaching while we handle logistics!

Engagements typically last between 14 to 30 weeks, with sessions scheduled mostly Monday through Friday. Flexibility and commitment vary per opportunity.

Compensation & Benefits 💰

• Rates up to $32.00/hour plus a 10% bonus — covering tutoring, light prep, early login, and session notes.
• For a typical 1-hour session, expect around $35.30.
• Some roles with provided materials may be slightly lower, around $28-$30/hour + bonus.
• Additional opportunities within our community include mentoring, content creation, and customer success.

Note: Pay rates may vary by engagement, and this is a part-time role, not full-time employment.

Who We're Looking For 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫

Requirements

• Experience teaching in U.S. classrooms (K-12)
• Fluent in Haitian-Creole and English
• Comfortable with English Language Development (ELD)

Ideal Candidates Have

• Online teaching experience
• Knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom
• Experience with remediation, intervention, or small group instruction (bonus)
• Special Education (SPED) or English Language Learner (ELL) teaching experience (bonus)
• AP course experience (bonus)
• Active teaching credential
• Dedication to promoting equity in education
