📝 Job Description
The Bilingual Global Incident Response (GIR) Analyst will be responsible for:
- Conducting artifact analysis to identify intrusion methods and recommend resolutions while driving security enhancements
- Applying strong incident response knowledge and experience
- Utilizing theoretical and practical knowledge across Mac OS, Linux, Windows operating systems, and cloud environments
- Engaging in security data collection, analysis, and correlation
- Employing well-developed analytical, qualitative, and quantitative reasoning skills
- Demonstrating creative problem-solving abilities
- Monitoring security events, investigating incidents, and managing the incident response process
- Investigating potential cybersecurity events across multiple environments using various tools and techniques
- Developing security policies, standards, and procedures
- Balancing multiple activities with excellent time management skills and leading junior analysts when necessary
- Understanding offensive security methods and attack techniques
- Correlating artifacts across multiple datasets to identify security events
- Applying diverse skills in product security and information security, including organizational processes, system development, security controls, access management, and recovery procedures
- Possessing detailed knowledge of security and regulatory frameworks (CRI, ISO 27001, NIST 800 series, FFIEC, SOC2, STAR, etc.)
- Supporting compliance inquiries from internal and external auditors
- Creating analytical reports on activities and trends
- Developing security detections, playbooks, and automation processes
- Reviewing logs and alerts to identify and escalate potential cybersecurity events
- Monitoring external service provider activity for security incidents
- Analyzing security data in real-time to detect threats and violations
- Investigating and remediating compromised systems
- Performing breach indicator assessments and internal employee investigations
- Producing reports on emerging and ongoing threats
- Researching evolving threats, tools, and vulnerabilities
- Staying current with industry developments and best practices in information security
🎓 Qualifications
- Proficiency in both English and Japanese, with cultural fluency
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Operations or Information Security
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, ISSMP, SANS, GIAC, GCIA, CISM, CEH, GCFA, GCFE, GCIH, or GSEC (preferred)
- Experience in security domains such as Incident Response & Forensics, Security Governance, Risk Management, Network Security, or Vulnerability Management (preferred)
- Experience with security risk management, including audits and risk assessments
