Your Role as a Bilingual Flight Attendant
Beyond standard safety and service duties, you will serve as a cultural and linguistic liaison. Responsibilities include:
- Making public announcements in Japanese and English
- Assisting passengers with customs forms
- Providing service recovery for any issues that arise
- Collaborating effectively within a multi-lingual crew
Daily Responsibilities & Schedule
This is a long-haul international role involving:
- Multi-day trips with extended layovers
- Night departures and weekend operations
- Flexibility for international on-call support (reserve) and scheduled lines
Training & Onboarding
Required qualifications include:
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- 6.5-week paid training in Houston, including a mandatory language proficiency test
- Experience as a flight attendant is not necessary but preferred
Career Growth & Compensation
