Your Role as a Bilingual Flight Attendant

Beyond standard safety and service duties, you will serve as a cultural and linguistic liaison. Responsibilities include:

  • Making public announcements in Japanese and English
  • Assisting passengers with customs forms
  • Providing service recovery for any issues that arise
  • Collaborating effectively within a multi-lingual crew

Daily Responsibilities & Schedule

This is a long-haul international role involving:

  • Multi-day trips with extended layovers
  • Night departures and weekend operations
  • Flexibility for international on-call support (reserve) and scheduled lines

Training & Onboarding

Required qualifications include:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 6.5-week paid training in Houston, including a mandatory language proficiency test
  • Experience as a flight attendant is not necessary but preferred

Career Growth & Compensation

United Airlines offers a competitive wage with an estimated annual base salary ranging from $50,000 to $80,000 (including language pay). Our benefits package includes:
