Your Role as a Bilingual Flight Attendant 🎤

Beyond standard safety and service duties, you will act as a cultural and linguistic liaison. Responsibilities include:

  • Making public announcements in Japanese and English
  • Assisting passengers with customs forms
  • Providing service recovery for any issues
  • Collaborating effectively within a multi-lingual crew

Your Day-to-Day 🌙

This role primarily involves long-haul international flights. Be prepared for:

  • Multi-day trips with extended layovers
  • Night shift departures
  • Weekend operations
  • 100% flexibility for international on-call support (reserve) and scheduled lines

Training & Onboarding 📚

Applicants should have at least 2+ years of customer service experience. The training program includes:

  • 6.5-week paid training in Houston
  • A mandatory language proficiency test

No prior flight attendant experience is required, but it is preferred.

Career Growth & Compensation 💼

United Airlines offers industry-leading wages, with an estimated annual base salary ranging from $50,000 to $80,000 (including language pay). Our benefits package includes profit sharing and global travel privileges on United and Star Alliance partners.
