Your Role as a Bilingual Flight Attendant 🛫

  • Perform standard safety and service duties on long-haul international flights
  • Serve as a cultural and linguistic liaison between passengers and crew
  • Make public announcements in both Japanese and English
  • Assist passengers with customs forms and other documentation
  • Manage service recovery issues with empathy and professionalism
  • Collaborate effectively within a multi-lingual crew

Daily Responsibilities & Schedule ⏰

  • Focus on long-haul international travel, including multi-day trips and extended layovers
  • Handle night departures and weekend operations
  • Maintain 100% flexibility for 'on-call' international support and scheduled shifts

Training & Onboarding 📚

  • Require 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Attend a 6.5-week paid training program in Houston, including a language proficiency test
  • No prior flight attendant experience required — but preferred

Career Growth & Compensation 💼

United Airlines offers an industry-leading wage, with an estimated annual base salary ranging from $50,000 to $80,000 including language pay. Our comprehensive benefits package features profit sharing and exclusive travel privileges with United and Star Alliance partners.
