Vital Research Is Hiring A Bilingual Field Interviewer

Vital Research is looking for enthusiastic Bilingual Field Interviewers (English/Arabic) in San Diego, California, to join as independent contractors. This role involves conducting in-person interviews with older adults for our PACE survey projects aimed at enhancing participant satisfaction. 📝✨

About the Position

The project kicks off with a mandatory hybrid training session in late June, where interviewers will learn the best practices for conducting interviews. The project duration is approximately three months. Once training is successfully completed, interviewers will become part of a dedicated team conducting interviews across the San Diego metropolitan area. Work availability may vary based on interview assignment schedules.

Responsibilities

• 🎯 Conduct in-person interviews with participants at day centers.
• ⏰ Be punctual, work independently, and maintain impartiality during interviews.
• 🗂️ Keep organized records of interviews and update the Vital Research team daily (e.g., completed interviews, refusals).
• 🤝 Build positive relationships with participants and understand their feedback.
• 📱 Use company-issued tablet devices to conduct 10-15 minute interviews in a private setting.
• 📧 Stay in regular contact with Vital Research via personal cell phones and email.
• 🔐 Follow confidentiality guidelines, federal HIPAA regulations, and data security protocols.
• 🕣 Be available between 8:30 am to 5:00 pm during assignments; actual hours may vary.

Requirements

• 📝 Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English and Arabic is required.
• 🗣️ Ability to speak at least one of the following dialects is preferred: Iraqi, Chaldean, or Arabian.
• 👵 Comfortably engage with older adults, showing concern and sensitivity to issues related to disability, illness, and communication challenges.
• 🗓️ Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills; effective communication via email and phone.
• 💻 Proficiency with email, file uploads/downloads, internet use, and troubleshooting technical issues.
• 📱 Access to a personal computer or device capable of viewing/editing MS Excel and browsing the internet.
• 📶 Reliable personal phone and wireless internet connection.
• ✍️ Ability to accurately read, type, and record responses.
• 🔒 Strict adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations following structured protocols.
• 👔 Adherence to a business casual dress code and personal presentation requirements.
• 🚗 Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Desired Qualifications

• 🏥 Familiarity with older adults, nursing homes, assisted living, or adult daycare centers is a plus.
• 🗣️ Prior interviewing experience is preferred.

Compensation & Application Details

Salary: $27.00 per hour 💵

Additional reimbursements: Mileage, drive time, and others are included 🚗💨
