Nurtury Early Education Is Hiring A Bilingual Family Child Care Quality Specialist
General Summary
The Family Child Care Quality Specialist will have a special focus on supporting newly-licensed FCC Educators joining Nurtury's FCC network as well as a smaller sub-set of current Nurtury FCC Educators. They will recruit FCC Educators and offer them guidance and support to ensure children receive developmentally appropriate early care and education in a safe and nurturing setting. As well as ensure that all aspects of the Educator Agreement are met and procedures are followed.
Essential Functions
- Recruit screen and recommend potential FCC Educators for contracts with Nurtury's FCC network.
- Provide strong coaching and support to newly licensed FCC Educators who join the network.
- Assist in creating as well as implementing a training and guidance suite for newly licensed FCC Educators.
- Regularly monitor FCC Educators for full compliance with all government and Nurtury regulations, policies and procedures.
- Maintain and submit post visit evaluation reports in a timely fashion.
- Act as a coach by establishing appropriate written goals and timelines for FCC Educators to improve program quality.
- Connect FCC Educators with the necessary resources available to them within the field in order to meet these set goals, such as: professional development, funding, and small business growth opportunities.
- Monitor FCC Educator progress to ensure that they achieve established and agreed upon goals for continuous improvement.
- Assist in curriculum and professional development of FCC Educators.
- Assist with technical support around evaluation systems and EEC systems.
- Maintain and ensure FCC Educators files are up to date with all required documentation.
- Support Nurtury's growth by acting as an ambassador in the community, amongst peers, in meetings, and in the field of Early Childhood Education.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the essential functions:
- Strong knowledge of Early Childhood Education and/or Business Administration or related human services field required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Experience in supervision and coaching
- Experience with measurement such as: FCCERS & EEC's quality rating scale
- Experience with child evaluation systems such as: Teaching Strategies Gold
- Computer efficiency with MS Office, internet/e-mail/virtual meeting systems
- Some local travel required
